From August 5th to 15th Japan Rwanda Youth Cooperation held the 16th Conference, as part of many activities undertaken every year by the Cooperation.

This conference convened University students from Rwanda and Japan to enhance mutual understanding between two communities through culture exchange and study tours.
During the Conference, we did several activities including Visiting places (to learn from Rwanda) as well as Daily presentations from each side (Rwanda and Japan) to share our past, our present, our ideas and our visions.

Among activities, there was a special event entitled "JRYC Community Exchange" in which we met Mr MIYASHITA, Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Rwanda, Amb. Dr. Charles MURIGANDE, Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Institutional Advancement at University of Rwanda, Mme Marie Louise Kambega TOWARI, President of NPO Think About Education Rwanda Project, People from Japan Embassy in Rwanda, People from JICA Rwanda office, Japanese people residing or working in Rwanda and JRYC members and friends. The objective of the event was to engage Rwandan and Japanese community in rwanda to reflect on culture, education, development and other fields relating both countries using dances, music and symbolic tools. After the event there was also a time for an open exchange.

We thank everyone who helped making this Conference successful!
