New year, New campuses, Same JRYC!

(Photo credit: www.ur.ac.rw) On October 9, 2017, all students of the University of Rwanda (UR), JRYC members included, commenced the 2017/2018 academic year. It was a big day at all colleges as many students gathered to know more of their new campuses. Weeks ago, there has been restructuring of the UR which resulted into many colleges being merged to form one, others being relocated to new campuses. Consequently, some of JRYC members are no longer in Huye campus. Some went to Nyarugenge, Gikondo and Remera campuses (all in Kigali city) and others went to Busogo campus (Northern province). These changes though will not affect much the way JRYC operates. Eventhough we are no longer in the same campus, we are still one group! We hope that this is an opportunity to think deeper and to work harder than before. we are going to the new campuses to meet new people, to start stronger collaborations with other students. (photo credit: umuseke.rw)                       From August 5th to 15th Japan Rwanda Youth Cooperation held the 16th Conference, as part of many activities undertaken every year by the Cooperation. This conference convened University students from Rwanda and Japan to enhance mutual understanding between two communities through culture exchange and study tours. During the Conference, we did several activities including Visiting places (to learn from Rwanda) as well as Daily presentations from each side (Rwanda and Japan) to share our past, our present, our ideas and our visions. Among activities, there was a special event entitled "JRYC Community Exchange" in which we met Mr MIYASHITA, Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Rwanda, Amb. The Day Has Come!

The inception of Japan Rwanda Youth Cooperation  (JRYC)  16 th  Conference “Towards mutual understanding through culture exchange.” On this Saturday, 5 th August 2017, JRYC-Rwanda is delighted to welcome our fellow friends and members of JRYC who are coming from Japan to attend the Japan Rwanda Youth Cooperation 16 th  Conference. During the conference, so many different activities are scheduled including a special event entitled JRYC Community Exchange which will be held on August 13, 2017 at CafĂ© Neo  Kigali - Rwanda and whose  objective is to engage Rwandans and Japanese community in Rwanda to reflect on culture, education and other topics relating to both countries using dances, music, theater, symbolic materials and open exchange. From August 5 th to August 15 th , 2017, we do believe that these are going to be 11 days of excitement, learning and sharing the beauties of our cultures.
