The Day Has Come!

The inception of Japan Rwanda Youth Cooperation (JRYC) 16th Conference

“Towards mutual understanding through culture exchange.”

On this Saturday, 5th August 2017, JRYC-Rwanda is delighted to welcome our fellow friends and members of JRYC who are coming from Japan to attend the Japan Rwanda Youth Cooperation 16th Conference. During the conference, so many different activities are scheduled including a special event entitled JRYC Community Exchange which will be held on August 13, 2017 at Café Neo Kigali - Rwanda and whose objective is to engage Rwandans and Japanese community in Rwanda to reflect on culture, education and other topics relating to both countries using dances, music, theater, symbolic materials and open exchange.

From August 5th to August 15th, 2017, we do believe that these are going to be 11 days of excitement, learning and sharing the beauties of our cultures.

Each year since 2008, JRYC holds conferences twice a year, one in Rwanda usually in February and another one in Japan usually between June and August though there have been changes this year. Rwandans are really gratified to cooperate with JRYC-Japan; we can’t wait to behold them since now they are on their way to Rwanda.

JRYC started spadework of this conference since May 2017. We craved this years’ conference to appear more objective than past conferences. We are delighted to announce that now all conference’s preparations are finished.

The 16th conference, taking the JRYC Community Exchange in focus, will convene university students, members of JRYC (Rwanda and Japan), Japanese people residing or working in Rwanda, private entrepreneurs, and of course main invitees.

Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of Rwanda, Amb. Dr. Charles MURIGANDE; UR Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Institutional Advancement, various members of staff of University of Rwanda, Mme Marie Louise Towari KAMBENGA; President of NPO Think about education – Rwanda Project, have all confirmed their presence.

Now the agenda of the event is published and all activities are well organized. It is our pleasure to share the JRYC 16th conference agenda.

See You at the Event!
